Police registration is a mandatory compliance in many states. Anyone who has hired a worker or rented his/her property to someone, needs to register the worker or tenant in a local police station. This is important because you need to inform police about the person you have hired or about the person you have rented your property to. This must be done from a safety point of view because there have been several incidents where terrorists or fugitives were living as tenants and the house owner had no idea about their identity

How it is done?

1. In some states there is a from which needs to be duly signed and filled and submitted at local police station along with the required documents.
2. In some states there is an online portal where you need to register the worker or tenant.
3. In some states you need to send a letter to the local police station duly signed along with copy if IDs
4. ID of the person needs to be verified first before any submission.
